Description
Tesamorelin
Sold as a lyophilized powder, which must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use.
What Is Tesamorelin?
-Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide that stimulates the pituitary gland to increase growth hormone (GH) production by mimicking Growth Hormone–Releasing Hormone (GHRH). It is FDA-approved for reducing excess abdominal fat in certain HIV patients with lipodystrophy.
Reduction of Abdominal Fat (HIV Patients)
-Clinically approved to decrease visceral adipose tissue associated with HIV-related lipodystrophy
Fat Loss & Metabolism (Experimental)
-May support fat burning and increase metabolic rate in non-HIV research settings
Muscle Support (Experimental)
-Enhances GH and IGF-1 levels, supporting lean muscle maintenance
Healthy Aging Research
-Studied for body composition improvement and reduction of age-related fat accumulation
Recovery & Tissue Repair (Experimental)
-May promote tissue regeneration through GH stimulation
How It Works
-Mimics GHRH to trigger the pituitary gland to release GH
-Increased GH → higher IGF-1 → enhanced fat metabolism and tissue repair
-Targets visceral fat more effectively than many other peptides
